  1. The work up my Endocrinologist has been doing points to Cushings Syndrome cause - mass on right adrenal gland causing excess levels of cortisol and just about all the symptoms described. I have been dealing with what seems to have been multiple mis diagnosis's over a period of many years. But now is finally being acurately addressed. I hope this diagnosis and surgery will correct to problem.

  2. A year has gone by since my last post. I had surgery in July 2009 to remove my right adrenal gland and the mass that engulfed it. Recovery has been gradual but positive. Little by little I've regained large muscle strength especially in my legs. I can climb stairs without assistance and even carry items as I asend. Very important when doing laundry and unloading groceries. I have lost almost 40 pounds and my facial features have resumed a normal rather than a puffy appearance. I recently underwent a one hour blood test to determine if my remaining adrenal gland was working and the good news is that it is. I no longer take any theraputic hydrocortisone.
